Kaye Faulkner Carenet
Kaye is a Certified Dementia Consultant and Trainer, having trained under Teepa Snow in 2017 and 2022 in the Positive Approach to Care™. She is qualified to facilitate workshops and train others in the PAC philosophy. She also holds a QQI Level 6 in Train the Trainer.

Kaye is a qualified General Nurse and Sick Children’s Nurse who trained in London, with 30 years’ experience working as a Staff Nurse, Ward Sister, Matron and Specialist Practitioner School Nurse. She holds a BSc Honours degree in Community Public Health Nursing.

Kaye returned home to Ireland in 2009 to care for her sick parents, her father had dementia.
​
In 2014 she set-up a home care business in her hometown of Ennis. In 2018 she decided to move into dementia care, started her own Dementia Training and Consultancy business - Kaye Faulkner Carenet, to provide dementia awareness, education and training for families, healthcare professionals and organisations. Since December 2019, Kaye has been working part-time with Home Instead Clare and Limerick as a Dementia Specialist.

Kaye is the only Certified PAC Dementia Consultant and Trainer in Ireland offering this unique, compassionate training. All training and resources are based on the Positive Approach™ to Care (PAC) philosophy and teachings of internationally renowned dementia educator Teepa Snow. A person-centred approach which meets the complex and unique needs of individuals using effective and structured technique. The PAC philosophy shifts the focus from what a person can't do to what the person living with dementia can do. The result is a more positive approach to care.

Kaye is passionate about providing dementia awareness, education and skill to help improve the quality of care for people living with dementia.
