Alan gained his Pharmacy degree in 1999 from the School of Pharmacy, London following a foundation year at University College London. He worked in many Trusts in London, before returning to NI.

 

Alan has worked in Belfast Trust since 2005, specialising in colo-rectal surgery, biological therapies and intestinal failure. He gained a post-graduate Masters in parenteral iron therapy in 2015 and is a non-medical independent prescriber. Alan was awarded UK Clinical Pharmacist of the year 2014 for work in radiation proctitis.
