Call for abstracts - deadline 20th February 2026

We invite you to share your research with INDI members by submitting research for an oral or poster presentation to be considered for the Fresenius Kabi/ INDI Research Symposium in June 2026

Fresenius Kabi and INDI work in partnership to organise and run this event, which is solely funded by Fresenius Kabi.

By submitting an abstract and poster for INDI/Fresenius Kabi Virtual Research Symposium you have agreed to the following guidelines and terms and conditions. Please see the abstract submission guidelines below: 

  • Abstracts of audits, pilot studies, clinical trials or case reports may be submitted. 

  • Abstracts should be no more than 250 words. Please be aware that attempting to copy and paste more than 250 words will result in your submission being cut off before the end of the abstract and information from your conclusion will be missing.

  • Abstract should only contain the following headings: Background; Aim & objectives; Research Design; Results; Conclusion. Please do not include tables or figures in you abstract. 

  • Submissions are encouraged from those involved in both formal and informal research activities, including student projects.

  • Open to all health professionals once the main subject of the abstract is nutrition or dietetic related and one of the authors on the abstract is an INDI member.

  • If the abstract is accepted, you will be asked to present a Research Poster in person at the event in June 2026 in Dublin. Prizes will be announced at the event. 

  • Those with the highest scoring abstracts will be invited to present a 3 mins oral presentation in a moderated session.

  • If the poster has already been presented at an INDI annual study or SIG study day, it should not be re-submitted.

  • Abstracts will be reviewed according to the following criteria:

    • Title: clear description of presentation and its contents

    • Merit and value that the presentation will bring to the evening

    • Conciseness, coherence, clarity and focus of the abstract

    • Relevance and appropriateness to the audience

    • Originality, novelty and innovative information/topic or application in the field

    • Submissions are only accepted using the form below.
